WORLD OF THE MAYA - MEXICO TRAVEL SEMINAR SPRING BREAK 2015!!! Hello Friends, I wanted you all to be the first to know that the OCC Board has approved the plans for the next World of the Maya Travel Seminar to Mexico. Hope you will join us! We will explore ancient Maya archaeological sites, living Maya villages, colonial towns, Maya markets, have a blessing ceremony by a Maya shaman, visit sea turtle and wildlife reserves, and swim in beautiful sacred cenotes and end out trip at a new all-inclusive resort on the Caribbean Sea. We added several new experiences and upgraded some hotels this year so repeat participants are encouraged to come. Please contact me for a full itinerary. The trip will run over OCCs Spring Break from March 14 - 22. Please note that we have an early registration deadline this year of December 10. I can only take 18 people and registration is on a first come/first served basis and will close if we reach 18 before December 10. College students, family, friends and community members are welcome to join us on a 3-credit or no-credit basis. The only restriction is that participants must be at least 18 years old and out of high school. The nearly all-inclusive cost for this exciting 9-day trip is $3051 per person in a double room; $665 single supplement. it includes round trip airfare with direct flights on US Air, shuttle to/from airport with free parking on OCc campus, all hotels, all tours, guides, admissions, and all meals while in Mexico - full breakfast, hot lunch, and hot dinner, always with a menu choice - in Mexico, including meal tips. I have again asked the OCC Foundation for student scholarships and will have word on those by the end of August. The official flyer will be out in a few weeks and I will post it as soon as I have it.
