WORLD WATER DAY Today is World Water Day. Today is the day that we all take a moment to honour and give thanks to our Planet’s life-giving element. Global water systems are currently at their most vulnerable from depletion, climate change, and pollution and we now more than ever need to make an active and conscious decision to preserve, purify and protect Water. UNIFY.org is marking this day with a special event. At 3 pm today over 1600 locations around the world will join together in a global synchronized water ceremony. We will join together to create a wave of powerful intention to send healing love to the waters of the Earth. Go to your nearest water body, meditate on the rain and the rivers, and give thanks. Dr. Masaru Emoto and others have conducted research on the effect of intention and thought on water crystals and have found that our thoughts have immense power for change. (See links below for more information on the campaign and on Dr. Emoto’s research.) It is important to remember that small actions can play a large role in saving and protecting water. Here are a few ways you can do your bit: • Use fewer detergents and other household chemicals. • Save water at home as much as you can because even the purification and transport of municipal water takes vast quantities of water and power. • Stay away from processed foods and drinks, meat, dairy and other highly water-intensive foods. • Buy and consume less; water is used to produce everything- from your shoes to your washing machine. Most importantly, be conscious everyday of how vital Water is to our lives and to the planet and allow this understanding to dictate your actions at home. Without water there is no life. -- Links with further information: On the UNIFY.org campaign: unify.org/love-water and unify.org/love-water#prettyPhoto[videos]/0/ On Masaru Emoto and the power of thought: masaru-emoto.net/english/index.html
