WORLD’S LEADING SIRE OF GR1 WINNERS REPRESENTED ON SALE Maine Chance Farms’ record breaking stallion, Silvano, has had a truly sensational season. Represented by five individual local Grade One winners in 2012-2013, smashing the SA record for a sires’ earnings, and responsible for the 1-3 home in the R3 500 000 Vodacom Durban July, are just a few of Silvano’s achievements during the season. Silvano has, however, achieved a new high recently. He is currently the world’s leading sire of Grade One winners for 2012, with his tally including the impressive G1 Deutsches Derby hero Lucky Speed. This places him above such international legends as Fastnet Rock, Monsun, Galileo, Deep Impact and Dubawi. The champion sire will be strongly represented at the 2013 Emperors Palace National 2yo Sale – and his progeny will, no doubt, be in great demand. The colt is out of a mare by champion Fasliyev and this is the family of the all time great mare, Allez France. Lot 121 is a half-brother to 2 winners, out of a very classy sprinting mare. >From the family of champion Mythical Flight, this colt is from a very speedy family. Lot 258 is a half-sister to 4 winners, including G3 winner Bit On The Side. Bred on the same Silvano/Jallad cross as Met hero Martial Eagle. Lot 286 is a half-brother to a winner out of a mare by ELliodor (same cross responsible for champion Aslan). This colt is a three parts brother to Silvano’s champion Kings Gambit. Lot 297 is a colt out of a Western Winter half-sister to the Gr1 performer Redcarpet Style. This is the family of current superstar Cherry On The Top. Lot 329 is a half-brother to 2 winners, including recent Gr3 Sycamore Sprint heroine Kinematic Countess. He is out of a very speedy mare, who is a stakes winner of seven. Lot 336 is a half-brother to 5 winners, including a Grade One sprinter, and a five time stakes winner. His dam is a winning daughter of champion broodmare sire Northern Guest. Lot 338 is a full brother to a three time winner. His dam is a three time winning half-sister to a stakes winner, and this is a top international family, whose members include the Breeders Cup winner Sheikh Albadou. Lot 358 is a half-sister to 3 winners, including a black type horse. His dam, who won three, is by top broodmare sire Qui Danzig out of a stakes winner.
