WORSHIP SONG for WEDNESDAY - Sometimes as a Follower of JESUS I just want to forget about making comments about stuff going on in the world and I want to take a break from heavy Bible teaching and simply PRAISE THE LORD! Today for a few minutes take the focus off yourself and I will do the same. Take a heavenly view and get a fresh look at the King of Heaven. A long time ago an Old Testament prophet name Isaiah did just that - he saw the Lord high and lifted up and this vision of the King radically transformed His life. Isaiah recognized the glory and majesty of Almighty God, he heard the angels chanting, Holy, Holy, Holy and he bowed his head in worship and also in shame. He worshipped because he was overwhelmed with the incredible sight of God! He worshipped because he heard the awesome voice of God! And he worshipped because he got a real sense of the holiness of the King! And Isaiah also saw himself as a sinner, needing grace. He cried, Woe is me for I am a man of sinful lips and I come from a people of sinful lips, for I have seen the King! A fresh vision of God will do that for you and me also - cause us to worship and cause us to recognize our sin. God could have simply agreed with Isaiah and could have spoken judgement to him but He didnt. He sent an angel with a hot coal and the angel touch the lips of the prophet and God declared him cleansed from his sin. God then asked, Who will go for us? implying the need for a spokesperson for God and Isaiah immediately responded, Here I am Lord, send me! God did, Isaiah did and the rest is history as the saying goes. Today if youre a Follower of Jesus, get a fresh vision of the King, remind yourself of your sin, ask for cleansing and respond to the call of God to go into all the world and preach the Gospel! Take a few minutes today and spend some time in the Presence of the King, like Isaiah, your life and the lives of others may never be the same!
