WOULD YOU BELIEVE IT? Having coffee in my local coffee shop, and I have noticed this guy sitting quietly in there for a month or so, coffee and the paper...last week he asked if he could have a word with me as he understood that I am a property Investor etc, as he was looking for a small holding to rent or lease as he has horses and the fields are not on his doorstep and as the horses are expensive and part of his and his wife life. As it happens I have had my eye on a farm in the Beacons and has failed to sell at the last few auctions as quite frankly it over priced. I also know that the farm has been let by the owners as a self contained holiday home for the last few years and trade has been slow. I contacted the owner of the farm and asked if he would be interested in letting the farm to this guy, and he has in principle agreed. Happy days, so not having done a lot and seeing the happiness on the coffee shop guy face when I told him that i had got the farmhouse and the 22 acres for him, I felt asking for a small fee didnt seem right. It turns out that this guy...plays writes music for and plays guitar for the likes of Meatloaf in the studio and on world tours, and that he was also looking for a suitable place so that he could invite his friends to write music and chill out away from where they may be recognised. It also turns out that in South Wales we have a world class recording studio where Bon Jovi, Led Zeplin et al, come to record....and when they are over he meets up with them!!!! ........and he will give me call when they are over next!!! Goes to show what goes around comes around, I am confident that by showing willing and being helpful for no reward pays in other ways.
