WOW--This past week has been a nonstop reminder of how lucky I am to be where I am today. Youll be glad to know Jeffrey is already up and demanding food and more comfortable laying positions... Typical. ;) Ill share a photo of the progress surgeons made with his back soon! But today would have been the 31st birthday of my beautiful, lovable and HILARIOUS cousin, Alexis Newbauer. She really was one of those people who never met a stranger. I cant believe we lost her, and Ill never understand why we did, but I know shes happy and looking down on Lee Newbauer Jr. and Lee 3. My heart goes out to her husband, my cousin, Lee Jr. and their awesome son Lee 3. Together, their family brought so much joy and laughter to our household (Tom Johnson, Sandy Newbauer Johnson, Jeffrey Johnson), even when they werent living as close. It has been incredibly tough watching our family go through this, but I know theyre strong and will pull through. To her parents and my family, her in-laws, who really raised her and welcomed her into our family with open arms Aunt JoAnn Newbauer and Uncle Lee Newbauer Sr, their daughter Jessica Newbauer and all those affected by her loss, I miss and love you all so much! I know today may be a reminder of our loss, but let it also be a celebration of Alexis... And for our lives! Rip Alexis Newbauer Todays for you.
