After putting in my information I was told that they could not open an account for me with the SS number I have and to call them. The representative asked for more information to verify who I was then said that for some reason Experian has locked my credit. Um, wait a minute, why are you communicating with Experian? I asked. She informed me that that was the company that the US Government uses to verify our identities. I asked again Why the hell is the US Government contracting with a private company to verify my identity? Thats who we contracted with. was her reply. Why would you do this? I asked. She had no answer. I had to hang up the phone quickly. WTH!!!
