WOW....Once again the level of peoples lack of decency leaves me speechless, which is a difficult thing to do (for those of you that dont know me well). This poor pup was thrown from a moving car window, like a piece of garbage, in Dalton, GA a few days ago....seriously!! I know terrible acts like this happens more than we want to know. It makes me question the humanity of our society. But then theres the Good Samaritan, Angela who was a few car lengths behind them, saw the whole shocking incident unfold and immediately stopped, picked him up off the road, took him home and made a FB post begging for help that night. Folks like Angela and many more that are huge advocates for the homeless animals give society redemption in my eyes, there are lots of good, kind people and Im happy for our rescue to have all the volunteers & supporters that continue to give relentlessly of their time & efforts. Angela reported the incident to the local police but without a tag number wasnt able to find the creeps responsible, to prosecute. Marie Jackson, a RR foster/volunteer, shared the puppies plight on my FB page, pleading for help and of course I drove to Dalton the very next day, pronto, to get him and take to the vet. We named the puppy Dalton and hes going to recover from his injuries. In addition to his road rash injuries, he has suffered a severe dog bite on his neck. Poor baby has had a horrific start to his life, but is now a welcomed Ruff Pup. As always, we love our rescues unconditionally and will make sure he receives all the medical care needed. Thank YOU Amanda Stroh for fostering and nurturing baby Dalton back to good health. We are closely monitoring his wounds, making sure no more complications/infection arise. Daltons a sweet puppy, maybe 4-5 weeks old, has the sweetest face and enduring eyes. Any small donation for his continued care would be greatly appreciated.
