WOW!!! What an amazing day! A few months ago, Roothy gave me a call and ask me to join him on a Make-a-wish foundation outing. Today I was so fortunately to spend the day with young Lachie, his parents, little sister and grand parents. Lachie, youve come through so much mate and was fantastic news to hear you are in remission. Seeing Lachies eyes light up when he saw Milo coming down the road was amazing. Lachie and his sister Emily got to sit on the bonnet of milo where John handed him a hat and a milo toy. I didnt think his eyes could light up an more but they did. Lachie fullfilled his wish of meeting his hero Roothy and a drive up Bribie Island Beach right up the top end. We all pulled up and had a bbq lunch, cooked by the one and only John Rooth. There wasnt any chilli in this one! hahaha. And a return trip back down the beach. Roothy tells me the Lachie was laughing so hard when Milo drove through the water and his dad got all wet! John forgot to close the flaps on Milo also so the boys feet were kept cool with the spray! hahaha. A hugh thank you to the Make a wish Foundation and Roothy for making this little blokes dream come true. A huge thanks also to my mate Al for coming along in his cruiser and helping ferry mum and the grandparents up the beach also. Wow, what a day! Good on ya Lachie!! your a little trooper mate and was fantastic meeting you and youre lovely family. Hope you all have a safe trip back home to Melbourne!
