WOW! Words of Wisdom On this 3rd Day of Being Grateful, I have to thank God, 1st and foremost from keeping me from having a bitter heart. This morning when I received a phone call from my mother that Corey May and the children were in a bad car accident, I simply prayed to keep them safe. God allowed Floyd to come home with Him, in His heavenly place to rest, at the tender age of (9). I have a praise report in the midst of this storm; God stepped in, showed up & is showing out. Spencer May walked away with minimal injuries and has been released. Aaliyahs surgery was successful and Corey is coherent and pulling through. Three lives were spared. The second thing I am grateful for, is the prayers that came through immediately. My sister, Sheila Stallings and her daughter, Ghia May have both been a pillar of strength during this transition. Sheila works at Arkansas Childrens Hospital, this is where all three of her grandchildren were transported, Aaliyah being flown by helicopter - but through it all, she held it together with poise, surrounded by prayer warriors and family. The third thing I am thankful and grateful for is my mother, Doris Thomas, whom made the necessary phone calls and kept this family together. At 80 years of age, God has kept my mother in her right mind. In the midst of this tragedy, she remained calm, prayerful and she directed us with her wisdom. My dad will celebrate his 84th birthday this Monday, July 7. Floyd would have celebrated his 10th birthday, July 31. God is the Master Planner, this was already in His plan. I have been still, I have shed my tears, now my strength comes from each of you. I am thankful that all of you have given me a shoulder to cry on, but most importantly, God has allowed me to lean on Him! It is one that I know all too well, but today - its meaning gave me greater peace and understanding. 2nd Samuel 12: 14-31. When David lost his son, he praised God. Rest in Peace Floyd, you are now our angel, watching over your sister, dad mother and brother. Its in Gods Plan, Sweet Home! I will dance in your precious memory. Aunt Vonda love and miss you already. Your work is done, your race is won, another angel flying to close to the ground! So long baby boy, Ill miss your tight hugs.
