WPBA Regional Tour Championships Day 1 - It was quite a day folks as the tournament kicked off with a full field of 64 of the top WPBA Regional Tour Players from across the United States, and around the world. You could feel the excitement, of the ladies as they began gathering, and the brackets were being drawn. The shootout began at high noon, with the format being 9 ball race to 5. Predator chalk adorned the beautiful 9ft. Brunswick tables, along with the very snappy Magic Rack on the baize. Looking over the bracket, I was a little bitter sweet; there are 7 names I had never played (yay!) but, I know these names..... the best of the best, remember? 3 of these names are just off the charts, crazy good. Now mind you theres nobody in this room has an easy bracket, but damn! My opponents today Kathleen Lawless, Ji-Hyun Park, and Sara Miller. All in all I took 3 tough losses, heartbreaking to dbl hill and lose on a shot youve made at least a 1000 times, but not today. The good news...The Queen Bee lives to fight another day! ELITE players are still in this and will return to scene Friday morning 9:30 am at Breakers in Herndon, VA.
