WRECKS OF THE WORLD: 1000 MEMBERS!!! Only four months ago we returned from probably the best liveaboard we have been on. A Wreck Itinerary with a combination of a great boat, great guests and staff - which are now all great friends, and of course the best wreck sites in the Red Sea. I remember sitting there and having an idea of creating a group, somewhere that like minded people who are into heavy metal, wheel houses, props, photography, great history and learning about new and interesting places in the world to travel. Could share their photographs, films, feelings, stories and thoughts on Wrecks Of The World. Who would have thought that It would be so much fun to share our passion and it would (like a wreck over time) grow into something amazing. I have always been captivated by the aesthetic beauty of seeing mans technology being lost to the sea. Laying there like a time capsule, a sleeping goliath, a lost treasure and then watching the continual transformation of something claimed by the sea and all marine life into something positive. An artificial reef, a home, an eco system - somewhere which life can grow and feel safe. Something that we must respect and protect for others to vizit. This is why they captivate us so much and truly hold so much beauty that we can capture and share the moment or moments of our lives underwater. So from my heart to yours thanks for all the members who have posted and contributed to this group in informing others and respecting each other in such a positive way. May Wrecks of the world continue to grow and evolve into something bigger and better. I know i will do my best to strive for this result.
