WRITE NOT Then said the chief priests of the Jews to Pilate, Write not, The King of the Jews; but that he said, I am King of the Jews. Pilate answered, What I have written I have written. John 19:21-22 When the leaders of the Jews realized that Christ though on the cross had been proclaimed their King, they protested to Pilate and wanted the name The King of the Jews changed to a joke, Pilate objected by saying what is written about Christ though on the cross is written; the power of the Jews couldn’t changed what was written of Christ even though He was hanging powerlessly on the cross of Calvary. Our cross doesn’t change our destiny rather it enforces it. What God had written about you can’t be compromised despite what you are passing through right now. Just as the leaders of the Jews did everything to rewrite what was written of Christ but failed that’s how no power can rewrite your destiny. Just like Christ was proclaimed the King of those same Jews that was fighting Him so has God proclaimed you the King and the victor over all your enemies. When Christ looks at the situation at the cross he wouldn’t accept the name ‘king of the Jews’ but He looked beyond the cross. Accept the truth of God about you and not the circumstances around you. Life follows the pattern that was written down, if you can change what was written of a man, you can change his future that was why the Jews opted to change the handwriting but failed.
