WRONG SIGNALS We are examining the reasons why many young people are still single. From yesterday’s teaching, we talked about personal decision to remain single (a) For God’s service, (b) For career success and (c) Just not CUT OUT FOR MARRIAGE Sending wrong signals is another obstacles to getting marriage proposal. I remembered one funny incident which happened when I was in Secondary School. Most of the time when I and my friends were gisting about boyfriend and girlfriend stuff, my friends would all have fantastic stories to tell the group about their boyfriends and we were all thrilled. One of my friends always tell us how her boyfriend cared for her like a queen and all that but as for me I didn’t have a relationship to boast about so I did much of the listening and laughing until one day when one of my friends challenged me and said, you are always listening to our stories, tell us about your boyfriend too. I was shocked but I quickly comport myself and I told them sweet things no boyfriend has done for me. I watched a movie which featured a lady who always boast about having wonderful time with a fiance she never had. One day, one of her room mates had a visitor from abroad and the brother told her friend to link him up with the sister but the friend told the brother that her room mate is engaged based on what she was told and she introduced the brother to another friend. Some ladies are like that! If you are still single; why are you wearing that RING in your finger chasing potential suitors away? Why are you boasting to those brothers that you are in a relationship? Why all those fabricated story of going to the cinema with your prince charming when you were actually sleeping and crying in your room? Who knows, your male/female friends could even be the channel through which you will meet your husband/wife. Stop sending wrong signals to people. Men are finding it hard to understand our nature as women because most times when we say YES we actually mean NO. Be plain! Be honest! You are friendly don’t act unfriendly to prove your worth, you are attracted to the brother? Don’t act like a lion lady but don’t ever act cheaply because men love to go after what they desire; so stay cool and be real. Brothers! If after praying and you are convinced God is leading you to a sister in marriage; don’t pretend about it or else watch another brother take the sister away.
