WRY SMILES A smile is a treat Call it a healthful treat A smile releases energy Some muscular exercise An expression of internal joy. But a wry smile? This is something else It is a distorted smile It is some mockery of smile Definitely not a natural smile A smile to deride a situation! You see someone They show much intelligence They pretend they know it all They easily look down on others They carry some airs around them You see them and shake your head You simply dish out a wry smile. Somebody plays smart for you Even on a topic you know better Even on an issue you know better Even on a subject you know better They still try to show they know it Of course you dish out a wry smile. Wry smiles are a paradox They depict you know better They depict you are confident They depict you know much better Better than the one causing you to smile That is what wry smiles are about. © Engr.
