WTF?? Last night I went to bed at midnight and set my alarm as I always do. I got up around 7:30 this morning and let my dogs out and disabled the alarm. I picked up my phone and noticed I had a missed call from ADT Security at 2:30 AM. I called ADT and they informed me that they received a burglar alarm from my house at 2:30 and it appeared there was an attempted break in at that time, 2 1/2 hours after I went to bed. ADT called the Police who refused to come here because we dont have a permit for the alarm? She said that she could see that I had disabled the alarm at 7:30, when I got up...which means I was in my home, ALL ALONE, asleep for 5 hours after someone tried to break in and the Police refused to come???? WOW! Of course this is beyond disturbing and I think its also information ADT should have supplied us with on the day of alarm installation...MONTHS AGO!! And the Police REFUSED to come????? I dont even know what to do with THAT information!! Has anyone had anything like this happen to them? I really want to cry right now.
