WTF: The highest-ranking military officer, and principal military advisor to Obama, has, under the auspices of the DOD, sponsored an essay competition to honor the recently deceased Saudi King, ‘a man of remarkable character and courage’. Does anybody think this is appropriate? That we should honor a man who presided over one of the most corrupt, brutally repressive authoritarian regimes in the world? A country with essentially no political or civil rights? One of the worlds most egregious human rights offenders? A country known to sponsor terrorism? Martin Dempsey ought to resign.
