Taken from the wall Rebekah Pack On June 16, two ladies stopped to help me at the corner of Xanadu and Iliff after liquor store owners beat a squirrel and left it with a broken back and trying to crawl away. One of the ladies stayed with me while the other went home to get animal tranquilizers so we could put the animal out of its misery. She helped me with the squirrel and she also defended me to the liquor store owners who proceeded to go off their property so that they could yell at me and harass me while I sat on the ground, crying, holding the dying squirrel wrapped in a shirt. I am so very thankful for the help of these two ladies. Unfortunately, I did not get their names to tell them how much I appreciated them. However, the lady who stayed with me gave me a flyer for Angels Without Wings and said she was associated with it. I hope this message gets to her. I just want to tell her again thank you for helping me with my dogs even though it turns out she was afraid of them and for helping with the squirrel. These two ladies were good Samaritans and the kind of people we should all strive to be. I just want to say thank you from the bottom of my heart for their help.
