WVU Extension to Host Dinner Meeting on Finical Management - Wednesday, January 14, 2015 WVU Extension will host an educational dinner meeting at Jackson’s Mill on Wednesday, January 14, 2015. Dinner will be at 6:30 PM, with the program to begin at 7:30 PM. If you wish to come for the dinner, it will cost $5 per person, which will be collected at the door. However, you do need to pre-register by calling the WVU Gilmer County Extension Office, at 304.462.7061, by January 07, 2015. If you would like to attend, but can’t make the dinner, you are still welcome to attend the program, which will start at 7:30 PM. There is no cost and no pre-registration needed if you come only to the program. The topic this month will be financial management. Whether you have a windfall from natural gas leases, or just need to manage ordinary farm income, there are important guidelines to sound financial management. The speaker at this program will be Fred Scheeren, CFP, Managing Director-Investment, Wells Fargo Advisors, LLC. Scheeren has been a practicing Certified Financial Planner for more than two decades. He regularly conducts continuing education seminars for accounting and legal professionals and is frequently sought as a guest speaker on portfolio management, asset allocation, and investment planning. His areas of specialization include private investment management, investment consulting to investors with fiduciary responsibilities, tax-efficient investment strategies, comprehensive investment planning, and retirement plan services for small businesses. Scheeren is from Venetia, Pa and should present a valuable educational program. The program is open to all. The program is planned to be held in the Assembly Hall at Jackson’s Mill. However, with work being done on that building, the program may be moved to the WV Building. If you are there for the dinner, we will direct you to the program location. However, if you come only for the program, you may need to check at both buildings.
