WWE Is Missing the High Energy of Daniel Bryan Daniel Bryan is currently on the shelf, recuperating from shoulder surgery. The leader of The Yes Movement underwent the procedure back in May of 2014 and since then has been out of action. While many fans are likely ready to see Bryan come back, the truth is that the former WWE world heavyweight champion appears to be no closer to returning than he was before. This is not good news for fans or WWE itself as it was surely anticipating Bryans return in the very near future. And as the company forges ahead without him, the truth is that it definitely misses Bryans high energy. Bryans meteoric rise to the top of WWE began at SummerSlam in 2013. It was on that night that Bryan pinned John Cena to become the new WWE champion. However, his celebration was cut short by Triple H, who shockingly betrayed him in the middle of the ring. credit: wwe That act opened the door for Randy Orton to cash in his Money in the Bank contract, and when he did, he became the new champion. This was the birth of The Authority, the group that rose to power overnight and has run WWE programming since then. Led by Triple H and Stephanie McMahon, The Authority is WWEs corporate heel entity. No one has been able to shut them down, and no one has been able to even slow them down. This includes Bryan, who spent the better part of the next eight months fighting an uphill battle for respect in the company. Every time he got close to realizing his championship dreams once again, Bryan was almost immediately stopped. The Authority sought to prevent Bryan from going any higher, and they were successful for a long time. WWE fans embraced him as one of their own and wanted desperately to see him win. The fact that he was fighting against Triple Hs group did nothing but help him, as fans had a new hero to cheer for every time The Authority made its presence known. Bryan was becoming WWEs newest antihero, and the crowd could not get enough of him. Bryans run to the top of course culminated at WrestleMania 30, where he defeated not only Triple H but Orton and Batista. Those wins brought him the WWE World Heavyweight Championship and surely earned him the respect of every fan that believed in him from day one. Bryans ascension was the stuff of legend. His rise will surely never be forgotten by anyone who supported him and paid to see him perform. All of this made Bryans exit earlier this year even harder for many fans to accept. Gone was the man who stood for them, the man who fought the good fight for them. Bryan was the epitome of the underdog, and when he made it, many WWE fans were undoubtedly living through him. He has certainly been missed since he left. But its not just Bryan himself who is surely missed by fans right now; its his high energy. Bryans frenzied approach in the ring was controlled chaos. He was so incredibly explosive during his routine, and when he got going, it was nearly impossible to keep up with him. Bryan was all over the place, and while it perhaps appeared that he had no direction when he began running, the fact is that his moves were always very precise every time he hit them. Fans were surely captivated by Bryan in the ring, as they had a man who was one part technician and one part speedster. His high-octane offense kept him among the most exciting acts on the card, and despite how many times fans saw him perform, he always managed to take them by surprise. And since he left with injury, the truth is that the company has no one who can truly match his speed and intensity. And no one could arguably play the underdog better than Bryan right now, so whoever ends up in that role will likely be compared to Bryan from the very start. WWE just does not feel the same without Bryan in the mix. Hes a guy who worked his way up through the company, and by the time he reached the top, he had more than earned it. And until he finally does return, there is no doubt that he will be missed for who he is and what he brings to the table.
