Waiakea High School Daily Bulletin Bulletin# 127 Friday March 7, 2014 SY 2013 - 2014 GENERAL AIM (ATTENDANCE IS MANDATORY) CLASSES Do you have unexcused absences that you need to make up? We will be having the last AIM Class for the quarter on Saturday, March 8. AIM Class will be held from 8:00am -12:20pm. in the school cafeteria. Please bring with you work and a valid ID. NO ID + NO WORK = NO ENTRY. Doors will close promptly so please be there earlier. All school rules apply. If you have any questions about your attendance or AIM Classes please see Mrs. Kiyonaga, the Attendance Coordinator. - L. Kiyonaga UNEXCUSED ABSENCE NOTES Do you have absences that you would like consideration to be excused? Please provide proper documentation (doctor notes, court papers, obituaries, college visitation itineraries/brochures, etc.) to the Attendance Coordinator Box in the main office by 3:00 pm on Tuesday, March 11. Any notes dated before March 11 and submitted after 3:00 pm on Tuesday, March 11 will NOT be excused. The only exceptions will be if absences occur on and after the deadline date (March 11, 12, 13 and 14). Dont wait until the last minute to submit your notes. Please turn them in as soon as possible. If you have any questions regarding your attendance, please feel free to see Mrs. Kiyonaga, the Attendance Coordinator. - L. Kiyonaga HELP A TEACHER GET A NEW CLASSROOM FAN: Want to help a FAN-tastic teacher at our school? Submit in 25 words or less your reason stating why your teacher/classroom deserves a new fan! Turn your submissions to E-103 from today thru March 11. A teacher may receive only one fan per classroom. Thank you to the WHS PTSA for providing the fans. - D. Tanabe COMMENCEMENT PROGRAM COVER DESIGN AND POEM Seniors interested in submitting a cover design and/or poem for this years commencement program booklet please see Justin-Joe Gray for further details by Thursday, March 13. - K. Irie AP STUDENTS AP Students interested in financial assistance for the AP Exams should pick-up Request Forms from the Registrars Office. Forms are due no later than Friday, March 14 by 4:00 PM. See Mrs. Martin for more information. - L. Martin CLASS OF 2017 COBRAS Attention freshman Cobras, we are currently having a telephone book drive. This is yet another class competition, please bring all donations to E-203, Mr. Escobars. - J. Yamamoto AP FEE COLLECTION Reminder to AP students...Fees for AP testing will be collected in the Finance office during the following dates/times: Friday, March 7, 2014 - afterschool-3:15 p.m., Monday, March 10, 2014 - afterschool-2:15 p.m., Tuesday, March 11, 2014 - afterschool-3:15 p.m. Cost for each exam is $89.00. The following will be accepted...cash payments (please bring the exact amount) and checks made out to Waiakea High for the exact amount with students name & grade in the memo area. Payments should be made as soon as possible; do not wait until Tuesday as the line will be cut off at 3:15 p.m. NO EXTENSIONS. Students need to bring their school ID. - T.
