Wait, first let me just understand this correctly, because I feel as I am in some B movie comedy, where the actor forgot the good lines and decided to just go on the whim to sound stupid enough. PB&J is racist? What did the sandwich do now? Look, when we first came to America, I never got PB&J. After all, I was used to having some cheese and if you were lucky enough, and some meat like bologna, on my sandwich. Some mayo or butter and you had yourself a nice meal. Since Russian bread is actually very good, we used to try with black bread or white, not thinking that it might be racism. In fact, sometimes the bread was the only thing that you were able to have, so having a piece of bread with some butter was a meal enough. Now, PB&J, is something that I was not aware of. Sure, we had Jam and sometimes it was even homemade, but butter made out of peanuts was new to me and to mix them both on the sandwich? Wow, that was something that a chubby Jewish kid like me had to try. Yep, I guess I didnt think about the racism portion of that dietary content. I guess I didnt realize that living, at the time, in the mixed neighborhood, where being a White Jewish kid from Soviet Union was actually a minority, I was causing a disturbance by having this racist sandwich on, sometimes, daily basis!! What was I and my parents thinking??? This is a disgrace. You know your nation is falling off the deep end, when some educator or better yet, moron, brings this issue up as a valid example to teach his class or to make a point. This is why America is falling behind in education. It has not even the curriculum that is at question here, but the outright stupidity of this educator and many like him!! - JD
