Waking yesterday before dawn to see a tea leaf running down the beach with your bag containing phone, wallet, kindle, ipod, passport, leatherman, diary and so much more was not an ideal start to the day. Safe and sound now after a 3k chase along the spaggio (he was too quick) then after polizia inacton a 190k cycle with minimal food, no sun tan lotion and no money ending in a begged and borrowed train ticket to Orvieto and a nights sleep with familly in Allerona. Looks like a flying visit home to London to organise a new passport may be in order.
