Wales Update This morning’s circuit race was a game of positioning in the peleton more than strength on the bike. The local teams had an adbantage on us for this one. 100 riders started 10 laps of a 2.8km circuit. A testing hill and exposed roads resulted in the peleton disintegrating on the very first lap. Eddie managed to make the first group on the road. Stephen in the second group while Dylan and Sean in the third. British road champion, Chris Lawless attacked on the 8th of 10 laps and stayed away to win. Eddie held his 4th position on GC. This afternoon was a relatively easy 75km flat stage. A break of 6 managed to hold off the bunch to end an uneventful but welcome stage for the Munster lads. Tomorrow will be a day for the climbers. GC will change dramatically again at the end of the 100km stage which finishes on top of an 8km mountain. It’s not over yet !!!
