Walk Worthy All through time, men have voiced their opinions of other, while rejecting things spoken about them, unless it’s a pat on the back. This message isn’t about the ordinary, let me get on your good side, pat you on the back message, and if any know me by now, you know I speak / write what God says; and no fluff. The gospel of God has changed, men have decided to preach the cuddly side of God’s love, forsaking the tough love side of God, and God is fed up with it. When I go visit churches and suddenly the so called prophets of the church want to jump up and spew “peace peace”, collaborating it with the ooey-gooey, lovey-dovey side of God’s love. I generally find myself waiting for the next one to jump up and say, eany meany, chili beany, the spirits are about to speak. I know God is not in that place and I would say for a very long time He has vacated or been driven out of that place. Even the worship in these places is strange, I’m all for God doing a powerful mighty work in people, but the things I see and hear leave much to be desired by a true believer. All that jumping around and hooting and hollering, rolling on the floor; screaming, Homeboy’s got a hold on me, well I’ve got to tell you, it ain’t real. How can I have the audacity to say that, well first of all, I repeat what God says and when there is no reverence, combined with too much familiarity, then it ain’t of God. Whether it be God the Father, Jesus the living Word, redeemer and Son of God, or the Holy Ghost, the Spirit of God in truth, we are to revere the triune being of God, for He is one. If fathers today stuck around and did their jobs, they would never tolerate the disrespect, we show our Heavenly Father. I’m betting, despite the law, real fathers would be spanking their children, for their disrespect. There is nothing wrong with calling Him Father, Father God, Dad, Daddy, Daddy God, because that’s exactly who He is, He formed us in the womb. Isa 44:2 Thus saith the LORD that made thee, and formed thee from the womb, which will help thee; Fear not, O Jacob, my servant; and thou, Jesurun, whom I have chosen. Isa 44:24 Thus saith the LORD, thy redeemer, and he that formed thee from the womb, I am the LORD that maketh all things; that stretcheth forth the heavens alone; that spreadeth abroad the earth by myself; Isa 49:5 And now, saith the LORD that formed me from the womb to be his servant, to bring Jacob again to him, Though Israel be not gathered, yet shall I be glorious in the eyes of the LORD, and my God shall be my strength. Jer 1:5 Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations. God knew us before He formed us; Act 15:18 Known unto God are all his works from the beginning of the world. 1Jn 2:13 I write unto you, fathers, because ye have known him that is from the beginning. I write unto you, young men, because ye have overcome the wicked one. I write unto you, little children, because ye have known the Father. 1Jn 2:14 I have written unto you, fathers, because ye have known him that is from the beginning. I have written unto you, young men, because ye are strong, and the word of God abideth in you, and ye have overcome the wicked one. The way mankind treats God, shows no reverence, shows no respect, shows no fear, but it does show one thing, it shows they are worldly! 1Jn 2:15 Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. 1Jn 2:16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. God is real clear about forsaking the old things; 2Co 6:17 Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you, 2Co 6:18 And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty. Jesus is not your homeboy, and quite frankly for most of mankind, He’s not your friend either! Joh 15:15 Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what his lord doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you. When we speak ill of another, we show no love, and if we don’t love one another, God is not with us, so how can He be our friend? Joh 15:17 These things I command you, that ye love one another. Joh 15:18 If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you. Joh 15:19 If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you. These aren’t the only reasons though, mankind for the most part lives and reflects fear, for one invalid reason or another, none of which is the reverent fear of the Lord. If we lived for God 24/7, then nothing would interfere with God’s commands in our life, and we wouldn’t be running around finding fault with those who speak God’s truth, labeling them as legalists. I really love the Hebrew verse for John 1:1; Bereshis (in the Beginning) was the Dvar Hashem [YESHAYAH 55:11; BERESHIS 1:1], and the Dvar Hashem was agav (along with) Hashem [MISHLE 8:30; 30:4], and the Dvar Hashem is the very character and nature of God and nothing less, by nature, than Elohim, a reflection as if in a mirror! [Psa 56:11(10); Yn 17:5; Rev. 19:13] God has given us everything we need to know to live right and righteous, in and according to His Word. The Holy Spirit is nothing and no one to be trifled with, and yet we think it’s OK to blaspheme the Spirit of God, saying stupid and ridiculous things such as token on the spirit. God’s Spirit is not some drug induced high, and without the reverent fear of God, the triune being as One, or Echad, cannot be found in makind. None of what we do in irreverence of God declares any of us to be walking worthy of God; Col 1:10 That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God; Col 1:11 Strengthened with all might, according to his glorious power, unto all patience and longsuffering with joyfulness; Col 1:12 Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light: Col 1:13 Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son: Col 1:14 In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins: Col 1:15 Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature: It’s well past time that we put aside our flesh, and die to it daily, while carrying our cross! It is our means of continual repentance, while working out our salvation with fear and trembling! God is telling us over and over to repent of our ways and thoughts, and get right with Him, before it’s too late, Amen!!!
