Walking The Corridor Called Push Hand. Part. 75 - The Arts Of Stillness in Motion TIME - SPACE - ENERGY While passing the route called Walking The Corridor Called Push Hand, I found many of the local Malaysian Sr. Aikido-Ka ended up with their perceived Bottle Neck in their life long practice and almost ALL somehow & rather openly or secretly chose the path called Taiji Quan for their missing link in their life long learning. On the other hand, it is known that Taiji Quan group of peoples is very shy from doing Ti Shou/ Push Hand practice, as they are mostly aged Sr. citizen or middle age man who look out for alternative method to regain their personal health mostly due to lack of exercise. The best is, some intellectual small group believing in by repeating in practicing the solo form ONE FINE DAY THE ULTIMATE FOUR ONCE DEFLECT THOUSAND POUND JING will surrect etc. Thats why theres some much of Taiji Quan lemons all over in Malaysia. In reality some teacher actually refrain their student socializing with people from other school by making them believing in their HAND WILL SPOILT once bastardised their practice with people from other school etc. For Tui Shou / Push Hand it is very common to bump into others labeling Tui Shou / Push Hand as a lower level child play vs their so called combative Martial Arts, but they usually ended up finding people who does it are much more sneakier in close distance and very sensitive to voids & changes when they sometimes lower down their ego doing push hand for fun with others. Any way , I have to admit Push Hand is just a practice preparing one for the next level and the plus point is to develop controlling skills which is also leading to Striking Skills and that depends on individual training objective etc. To me, through practice for health or even for self defence purpose, ultimately what we are trying to achieve is, at all times we are able to control or tuned our mind able to end up completely on one thought and thereby forgetting oneself and deliver the ULTIMATE goal of “One Strike”. ( 全凭心意-一击 ) Like any other credible Martial Arts training, it involved the Science of the dimensions of TIME, SPACE, and ENERGY, where some people have had the experience of concentrating so deeply on an activity that all awareness of themselves were eliminated and thats is what Im chasing after all these year. Come to think about it, at times we cannot blamed why some Muslim & Christianity faith community group refrain their followers to practice Martial Arts or even Yoga practice. ( At least that happened not only in Taiwanese, but Malaysia before ). How come? & Why ? Well, since it involved with the Science & the dimensions of TIME, SPACE, and ENERGY, it was presumed & labeled by some overzealous figurehead from other religious group who are just too concern that their followers may change their faith after practicing the art of LIVING IN THE PRESENT which also The Way Of Buddhism practice ! . Practicing mindfulness means we practice our awareness in all our actions. When real skill is achieved in any action, one is primarily aware of what is happening at that moment, rather than of the self or body. Slowly one will eventually arrives at a philosophy level and living in the way that allows him to transcend his fears and ultimately himself. This brings about self-actualization, and assists the practitioner in developing a martial way of life. All in all, for Push Hand or any Martial Arts practitioner it is a must for them to train their BODY, MIND, and SPIRITS in relationship to TIME, SPACE and ENERGY.
