Walking after the Spirit: Rom_8:1 There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. Rom_8:4 That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. Rom_8:5 For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit. Gal_4:29 But as then he that was born after the flesh persecuted him that was born after the Spirit, even so it is now. There are many strange theological arguments I see on FaceBook. For example, there is no way to walk after the Spirit apart from obedience. To be disobedient is to walk after the flesh. However, there are many here that have reversed the argument. If you are obedient and teach obedience then you are walking after the flesh. If you are disobedient, trusting in God, then you are walking after the Spirit. What? Obedience is the flesh and disobedience is the Spirit? How is that? They say because obedience is adding works to grace and therefore a false gospel. How absurd! The gospel teaches obedience. You cant walk in the Spirit without being obedient. How does being faithful to God equate to being works based theology? And how can it be salvation by faith when you refuse to walk in obedience? What a perverted gospel being declared by professing Christians, claiming to be born of the Spirit and new creatures in Christ. Those that walk after the flesh are the true believers? But those that walk after the Spirit in obedience are self righteous hypocrites seeking to justify themselves by works? What? Who is it that has completely deceived you people from obeying the truth?
