Walking from my classroom to the office one day at lunchtime, about six different kids said “Hey Mr. Board!” Coming back to my room I took the long way around, and about a dozen more greeted me like that. I started thinking about how truly decent our students are and how much I consider them my friends. I wrote this poem when I got home that evening. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- The kids of Bremen High School are the best of the very best And the teachers in this town are so much better than the rest. Good education is what we do here and we do it pretty well. We research, read, write, and figure from bell to bell to bell. I’m very glad to be a part of this successful A+ school. The best part is my kids and colleagues are always really cool. It means a lot that so many of you consider me your friend. I’m thankful and I’m grateful. My love for you will never end. kb
