Walking in the Light “If we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin.” (1Jn_1:7) In light of what we have seen over the past few days, consider this as a fresh way to look at this verse – “If we walk in the revelation of God’s love as made known to us through Jesus, then we have fellowship with one another; we share in life with each other. And in this dynamic friendship we continually experience the cleansing power provided by Jesus, setting us free from all those things that have held us back and kept us down.” Are you a loner? If you stay that way you will be a gone-er! (and I know that was a groaner) But, you cannot make it on your own. “It is not good that man be alone,” God said. He created us for fellowship – with Him, and with one another. Satan works relentlessly to destroy our relationships, and to isolate us in solitary confinement. We do not have to accept this. Jesus came to destroy the works of the devil. He has saved us, and brought us into the Kingdom of Light – that place where the reality of His love over-rules all others things. Now, by the power of God’s Spirit in us, we can “walk in the revelation of His love” with one another. And His love will lift us to higher ground. Our friendships will be true and lasting, and our lives will be enriched in every way. Ask God to lead you into a true friendship with others who know and love the Lord Jesus. He will do it; and your life will flourish in ways you could never imagine. (Rylisms)
