Walt Disney was bankrupt before he created Mickey Mouse. Henry Ford had 2 businesses fail before he built the Ford Motor Company. It took Thomas Edison 10000 attempts before he had a working light bulb. Donald Trump declared bankruptcy twice. He is worth nearly $3 billion today. I was listening to Les Brown on my drive home today, the topic was success and failure. I realized that Ive been successful with most everything I have attempted in my life. There are two ways to look at this. #1 - Its great, something to be proud of. #2 - I havent pushed hard enough, gotten out of my comfort zone, discovered what I am made of. To really see what we are capable of, we need to stretch ourselves to the point of failure. If we succeed, we need to go further. If we fail, we need to try again. As in exercise, if you only walk or lift the 2 lb weight, youll never grow. I believe that God calls each of us to become ALL that we are capable of, which is an enormous responsibility. He did not give us talents, skills, and abilities to be wasted. Have you given it your all and failed, learned from your failure, and tried again? If youd care to share, Id love to hear about it.
