Want to Win an iPad Mini? November 5 we will host Bethune-Cookman College for our Gimme 4 Volleyball Match. The Gimme 4 Foundation is selling $10 tickets for a chance to win an iPad Mini. All proceeds from the evening will go to Louie Ruiz. He is the husband of former Lady Royals Alumni, Jennifer Shipman-Ruiz. Louie is a Sheriff Deputy working at the Jail in Pinellas County. He has 5 children. He was diagnosed with LipoSarcoma in July 2012. He has undergone several rounds of Chemo and Radiation. He had a surgery in December to remove a 24 pound tumor, among other organs that were infected by the Cancer. He then had another surgery in July of 2013 to remove a part of his lung that the LipoSarcoma spread to. Now, in September the Doctors found that both lungs were infected as well as a new tumor that was growing in his ribs. He is fighting with everything he has, as a Deputy should. We love and appreciate all the support from Warner. As an alumni and former Volleyball player of Warner, to have the support from the Gimme 4 Foundation means the world to me and my family.
