Want to help the Radacks pay it forward this fall to a wonderful - TopicsExpress

Want to help the Radacks pay it forward this fall to a wonderful lady fighting cancer? Couple ways you can help.....first as you start thinking about your holiday cards, save an extra one, and write a note of encouragement to her and drop it in the mail. I will get her mailing info to you as we get closer and we could start a big holiday card mailing campaign to encourage this family. I cannot imagine what a boost it would be to receive cards from families all over that she does not know sending love, prayers and holiday cheer. SO PLEASE KEEP AN EXTRA CARD TO SEND TO HER!!! I will get that started in November. Second way you can help....when you are cleaning out your garage or passing those holiday displays that are creeping up (I know it scares me too) grab a few strings of lights, holiday wreath or yard decor to decorate the outside of their house for the holidays. We will be cleaning up their yard and decorating their house for the holidays the SATURDAY AFTER Thanksgiving. We want it to be BEAUTIFUL!!! These donations need to be donations to the family and will not be returned, do not need ot be new or expensive, but in good working condition as I do want to make sure it looks nice. I will not be collecting them until late October, but keep your eyes open as I know life gets hectic in the coming weeks. We are planning on covering her electric bill during this period as our gift so light it up, the more color the better!! We want them to look outside and feel the magic of Christmas cheer!! If you would like to volunteer your time, family and decorating skills we would love to have you help. It is not a large home, but the more hands, the merrier. If you are a holiday light master, PLEASE help us as we are more along the lines of Chevy Chase tacky xmas display and I am trying to avoid it being AS tacky as the Las Vegas white trash flashing holiday situation that goes on in Radacklandia. This is a family experience so bring the kids and let them experience the meaning of paying it forward to others because it is what nice humans do:) I cant make any promises, but if you know of anyone else you would like to nominate to have us help decorate their home during the holiday season please message/email me, privately, and I will see if we can get them covered too. If we get extra donations and hands to help we would love to start a new tradition WAY better than Black Friday, called Sunny Saturday (or a better name if someone can come up with it) where we spread cheer in the form of a visual reminders in yards of those who are shut in or fighting life battles. This year we are decorating a home in Chandler so we will need it to be in the east valley unless we have volunteers willing to charge up other parts of town. Who is in and ready to help????
