Want to know the real Psychological reason why most people who try Network Marketing fail? They arent used to generating interest. They are used to servicing interest. Let me explain... If you work at Gap you have people who are already interested who walk into your store and you say this: Hi, Weclome to Gap, Can I Help You? Thats a form of sales service, not sales generation. Gap has spent millions and millions of dollars for that person to get up in the morning, get in the car, drive down to the mall and walk into the Gap! Thats a HUGE difference! Nobody is born with Sales Generation savvy...its a skill that must be learned and practiced...thus, most quit right there once they know they have to learn something new. Thats why all the spill over and you dont have to talk to anyone types of marketing campaigns work...they appeal to the masses who just dont have it in them at this stage in their lives to learn a new skill...but they want extra money. See how marketers get people into Network Marketing with great offers? But, they fail to keep them because the reason they joined was to just make money, not learn a new skill, or because of the love of the product, service or environment. Thats why people who buy leads never open the file and call them. Thats why people never call their family and friends. Thats why people never invest in themselves...because if they know how to generate interest, then, they will have to engage with people on a daily basis to GENERATE INTEREST! Im not scared anymore. Ive broken the FEAR BARRIER of generating interest. I realized long term success is about exposure and follow up. So, after 34 years in Network Marketing, Ive become an EXPERT at generating interest and exposure. And, at the Gap if that person tries on a pair of jeans and a shirt and decides to wait until next payday, you happily say to them as they are walking out of the store: Thank you for coming in, you have a nice day and come back soon! Thats totally different then going out on the streets, or on your cell phone, or on your facebook account and GENERATING interest for a pair of jeans today. See the distinction? So, the key in Network Marketing is not only teaching a new skill set to people (how to generate interest each day for your product or service), but also how to get your own business going like the Gap. When you have a website where people come to every day with Pre-Interest in your product or service. Once you understand that concept you start to understand why people who you know would be great at this business will never join it, or why if they do join, they quit in their first 90 days. Its simple sales psychology...and it has nothing to do with Network Marketing.
