Wanted to let you know I will be at the clinic another week. This week I did the stem cell procedure. Not bad. Sounds worse than it is. Basically, I am given a numbing agent in my chest (so I feel that needle initially), then another needle is used to extract bone marrow from the sternum. This just feels like pressure, no pain. Then that is injected back into your veins to help the immune system fight the cancer. I have made progress. My cancer markers went from 34 to 20, which is good but would like it closer to 10. Tumor shrinking. So this week I am doing some intense therapy and hope to be out of here and home next week. Appreciate all the encouragement and prayers everyone has been sending me. Life is good.
