Wanted to share a cool little tidbit of information I learned the other week. A lot of marching snare players will tape their sticks (cause bigger sticks arent really an option at that size) to increase the weight (drastically might I add) and also increases durability. I already had marching snare sticks because I teach the cadets here in sudbury (new gig for me) and I knew they would be good to have to build my chops for when I switch back to normal kit sticks. But I recently got asked to join an alumni corps out here so marching sticks are gonna kinda be the sticks Ill be performing with, so I took up the taping thing and Im really glad I did.
