Wanted to take a moment to express my humble gratitude for the many posts, private messages and even visitations from people over the past days. Its been a whirlwind but I tried to keep everything in its proper perspective. Id probably sign a contract to live to be 90 years, especially leaving this world with the amount of love my father had. He was truly a wonderful man, so full of humor and good will. He touched the lives of people of all kinds while being the best son, husband, father, grandfather, uncle and friend any person could hope for. He lived a great life and had a peaceful death. The fact I was able to see him 2 hours before he passed AND take a picture of him (wearing a shirt with my face on it no less!) AND tell him I loved him is too me, a small miracle of its own. I am grateful on so many levels for that. Social media gets a bad rap sometimes, maybe deservedly so, but I also think it helps connect us in positive ways if used correctly. I really appreciate the kindness showed towards me, much of it from people I know only from here. My dad never did get on a computer, but he was always amazed that the technology existed to connect people to have information at your fingertips. He wouldve really gotten a kick out of people sending so many well-wishes over cyber space. So thank you again for reaching out to me. Dont forget to tell those you love that you love them and call someone instead of texting. Visit if you can, but stay in touch with loved ones. You never know when you wont have that chance. God bless all of you out there (even you agnostic and atheists!)
