War has broke out. I think. Longshoremen invade Honduras. My next door neighbors are the Honduras Consulate. The Long Shoreman’s union has a bug up it’s butt (and probably a couple of beers to feed it) about somebody who has told them that his family is being abused by a factory in Honduras. (Where every McDonalds has two armed guards at the entrance.) So they pack into elevators (about forty or just thirty of them, but a lot) rush the consulate, driving out a couple of Hondurans, tear some stuff from the walls, tape up some posters, then spend about twenty minutes shouting and chanting and waving signs in the blocked hallway until the police get here. At this point the gentle psychotherapist across the hall bursts out of his session wearing murder on his sleeve (he is neither young nor tall - they are longshoremen) I pull him back. The hypnotherapist is not amused. Nor am I. Police won’t arrest their asses because they claim that the demonstrators have first amendment rights . Dont think that counts in Honduras and know it doesnt count across from my office. On the Waterfront has become In the Corridor I think I am working in a war zone. The great question is when and how will Honduras strike back.
