War is what you wanted and war is what youll get. We give the Luos - TopicsExpress

War is what you wanted and war is what youll get. We give the Luos a deadline of seven days to leave the province of Rift Valley or we will enter every single house by force. The above was a message Kenyas opposition leader Raila Odinga and members of his ethnic group, the Luo received from President Uhuru Kenyatta own ethnic group, the Kikuyu, in a leaflet dated 19.06.2014. Social networks are full of threats and messages of hatred between members of the Kenyas different ethnic groups. The reason for the latest verbal threats against the Luo seems to be a series of attacks on the coastal town of Mpeketoni where 65 people died on 15 and 16 June, 2014. Although the Islamist al-Shabab militia claimed responsibility, President Uhuru Kenyatta spoke of an attack by the opposition directed at his own ethnic group, the Kikuyu. Until we break up the artificial countries created by the Europeans all across Africa, peace and development will continue to elude us. In the case of Nigeria, regional autonomy would help reduce ethnically motivated violence but the delegates have refused to do the right things. They voted for states as federating units instead of ethnic nationalities regions. This can only cause more violence. The Yoruba will not be able to take advantage of their homogeneous culture, language, descent, history and even religious beliefs under states as federating units and develop at their own pace. State as federating units will cause civil war for the second and the final time. The Ibo and the Gambari are determined to frustrate anything that will ensure all the Yoruba speaking people come under one autonomous region. The Yoruba Youths have seen how Scotland is going about its demand, how Crimean went about its own, how Catalonia in Spain is going about things. They have also witnessed how Boko Haram is going through its cause, how the insurgency in Iraq is moving fast and how OPC failed but MEND succeeded through the use of organised violence. If the National Conference continues to fool itself by refusing to approve Regional Autonomy for each ethnic groups in Nigeria, the Yoruba Youths will use organised violence as a legitimate means to bring about change in favour of Yoruba Regional Government and or #OoduaRepublic.
