Warning: Rant: Warning I am...BEYOND tired of stupidity in politics!! ( stop reading here if you wish..it goes on and on from here ) Yes, I am a Liberal (which is apparently a bad word where I live) and I feel that rights belong TO EVERYONE...and ALL RIGHTS are worth protecting and fighting for, I dont just pick and choose what I do and dont like. I believe in the WHOLE constitution...I believe in the separation of church and state BECAUSE this country was FOUNDED on the fact that religion has NO PLACE in government. I believe everyone has a right to whatever religion they chose. This focus on a Christian nation is the OPPOSITE of the foundation of this country! Religion is a tool that takes our focus away from the real issues like EQUAL RIGHTS AND EDUCATION!! I have the RIGHT to not be religious and I also have the RIGHT to not have to worry about my son feeling like he is forced to believe a certain way because a group of people think that religion should be a part of PUBLIC EDUCATION. If you want religious elements in your childs education that is fine and it is your right!...there are plenty of private schools for that and if you cant afford those then churches have free programs for that after school...BUT PLEASE...I am giving my child the RIGHT TO CHOOSE what he believes and not forcing him to believe a certain way. If we keep trying to take rights away...what freedoms will we have left?? Im sorry if this offends you, but I am CONSTANTLY dealing with others beliefs and having to explain that being an Atheist doesnt make me a horrible person! I believe in treating people the way I would want to be treated, that all people deserve kindness, Respect others, that talking about problems is the best way to find a resolution, I bend over backwards to help people, but I am always looked at like I am some demon summoning wizard (which is funny because I dont think demons and the devil are real either) Im sorry for the Facebook ranting but I am just so frustrated that I choose this as my outlet (which lots of people do in this modern age of social media). And if you are fired up about the way I believe...then please just delete me...because I would rather not fight with you....*sigh* End Rant.
