Warning!! This is going to be a really long post! I realize how much of an investment you make with your time and money to have a professional photo shoot. Also the stress of finding the outfits and convincing your husband that you “need” family pictures again this year! Because of this it is my sincere desire to make sure that you get the most value possible during our time together. I love to make the experience of capturing photos an enjoyable and fun one for all of us. I also want to make sure that you get the most value out of the images you recieve. I have a dream…of beautiful images, displayed in homes all acoss the greater KC area… We live in a digital world – an age where life is fast paced and we have more acces to resources and information than any generation before. We look at the internet with laptops, phones and ipads – everything we need to see is at our fingertips. In this digital age, many of my clients prefer to have their images on disc to use/print however they like. Sometimes this is because it sounds……well…..better…and if you are unsure about HOW you are going to use or display your photos, it does sound better. BUT…I want to give you some food for thought – is it really better? or is it just something we want becuase it is there? Often, it isn’t the best investment choice. That’s why we at Blazic Photography believe in giving you options! So, let’s talk about it – A question you should ask yourself is: “What did I do with the last batch of digital images I took or puchased?” Did you answer: “I sent them to a printer and they have been wonderfully presented on my wall for ages!”? If so, GREAT! Let’s get you the images printed at the best possible place. BUT…most of the time, lf I am honest…life gets away with me and more often than not, my answer to this question is “ummmm….i think it is in a drawer somewhere” or “I just put them on facebook”. If I am honest, I realize my own great intentions to display or use my photos gets lost in the day-to-day activities and busyness. With this in mind, I totally believe that your family photos should be on display as a treasured peice of art. Look at it this way – you took the time to get dressed up, drive to a location, pose/play with your family and then I spent time editing and perfecting them. They should be on display – even just one of them, in your home. They shouldn’t be left in a drawer somewhere to get dusty and lost. In my experience, most clients who want all the digital files, do so because they cant decide which photos they like best and what exactly they want to do with them. So, after our photo session, I feel it is my goal to help you discover which photos you love most and how you want to show those to the world and which ones you want to keep as treasures for your lifetime. And if you want the ownership of all the digital files, we give you that option too. I know it seems like a huge investment of money. You are buying the ownership of them, with the right to print as many, any time for the rest of your life – more than that, for the generations to come also. Food for thought? I hope so. As you think about booking your next session, I encourage you to dream about the images you want. Plan where you want to display them. And then we can, together, create visual memories of your story that you can enjoy for years to come. Thank you for taking the time to read – thank you for sharing your lives, your families, your memories with me. It has been my pleasure, my honor to capture precious memories for you.
