Yesterday a roughly 16-year-old female elephant was poached for her young tusks, and EAs Ranger Siranka and Ranger Mpeti, both Maasai men, were alerted to her carcass by the community. This is life, and death, for elephants in Africa and our hearts go out to the rangers who dedicate their lives to protecting them. Were sharing the 2 photos and posts by EA here (please click on each photo to read the respective posts) in the hopes that as Ranger Siranka notes, if we face this problem head on, as united world citizens, then we give the elephant species a fighting chance at survival. One of the ways you can face this problem head on is to help fund the vital work of Elephant Aware Masai Mara. Our colleagues at Kenyans United Against Poaching - KUAPO say, This brings to three the poaching incidents in the last week in the same area. There is obviously a very effective gang operating in this area - it needs to be dismantled. Please help dismantle that gang by supporting EAs rangers.
