Was a bit too tired and weary to tackle the Home and Garden show today, so we will hopefully go there tomorrow afternoon. But we did go to the Ulysses S. Grant National Historic Site, where we toured the Grant home, outbuildings, grounds and museum. (Pictures will come tomorrow, as we didnt have time to pick up the disc today.) It was a lovely site (and like many such sites in St. Louis and the great state of Missouri- it was free!) and I was struck again by the love story between Grant and his wife, and by what a good man he truly tried to be. Charles enjoyed the tour as much as I did; we are both history geeks, lol. Came home to the lovely scent of the roast cooking that I had started before we left; roast, potatoes and roasted baby zuccinni are what is on the menu here tonight. It is a rather damp and chilly night, but Monday teases us with a forecaste of near 70- fingers crossed! How was your day, my friends?
