Was a good day weather wise!?!? Was cold...cloudy.. windy... no rain till we got night camp set up! Then it started to rain about 5:30. We traveled on some hard surface roads for a few miles, then we went cross country thru big pastures. That was the most fun so far. Awesome! Up and down some steep hills. I rode with a guy that drives a pair of mules (red). As we were trotting over the prairie he said Now this is real fun and I had to agree. Even though we were all bundled so much, mounting your horse was a challenge even for some of the real cowboys, it was a fun day! Now Im sitting in my truck(not running) so I can get my phone charged. It has rained enough that the tarp I put over my bed for a just in case moment caught about acupuncture of rain water that would have been in the spot my hips would have been resting on in a little while! Always proud of myself when I plan ahead and it works out. My replaced hip bothered me last half of yesterday, so decided to give it today off and rode with Dennis and his 2 mules in his old GMC wagon. Its one of a kind and I know Rod will just love it! I do! You can see part of it in a few pictures. Ill try to remember to take a picture when he is hitched up. Got to go walk around to warm up! Later!
