Was at a cafe earlier grabbing a bite to eat on my way back to the motel, and got dragged into a conversation about religion and which ones are good and which ones are bad.. Interesting discussion, random people, didnt know any of them, but the general consensus was that any religion that actively tells its followers to do bodily harm to another is a bad religion.. However, not one of them included the Christian denominations in that assessment, and I have to wonder why, is it because everyone thinks Christ was only a man of peace? While he preached peace, he was far from a tolerant man, as he grew up Jewish in the Middle East he would have had the same prejudices that all of his contemporaries had, and he even resorted to violent behavior on at least one recorded (if you think the Bible is accurate) occasion... So why is it that Christianity, with all its flaws (and they all admitted it has flaws in some of its judgement so please dont bash the religion, Im not bashing them) is exempt from being judged like say Islam....
