Was at the doctors today about my anxiety panic attacks which still haunt me. As I was pre interviewed by a young nurse she proceeded to tell me a lot of my problems are in my head!!! Plus maybe I eat wrongly or more than I realize and hot milk drinks are fattening. Ect ect. I understand she has probably studied hard to become a nurse but by No means is she a physiatrist or phycologist. If I wasent as strong as I know I am I was very tempted to tell her politely that she had no idea what she was talking about and would have left the surgery in tears. This woman has no idea what Ive been through or how Im feeling or dealing with right now. I am going to ring my doctor to convey to him that this woman needs to do her homework before confronting someone with depression and or panic disorder.
