Was at the pharmacy today picking up some medicine and this older woman asked if I was getting some medicine for one of my kids. I laughed and explained that it was for me, I dont have children. She had a confused expression on her face before she asked me how old I was.. I responded with 23. She then proceeded to ask if I was married.. At this point Im beginning to feel agitated. I say no and she responds back with, what is it about your generation? Dont you want to settle down and start having a family of your own? STOP RIGHT THERE! Since when do complete strangers have any right to comment on anothers relationship or in my case non-existent relationship. Im so baffled how society is so quick to push their opinions and beliefs onto others. When did love come with the expectation of an early marriage and kids? Or even having to have a relationship to be happy?! Love is love people and every one has different ways of showing it, just because they dont show it the same way as you doesnt mean theyre incapable. Rant over.
