Was at work meeting today with two academics (women) and a student (a woman) and two babies - one three, one six months - it did not escape my noting that we all pitched in to care for the children - holding, rocking the babye, dummies, bottles, cups of water, three-year-old convos - while still managing to have a productive meeting about the research project, methodologies, and data analysis. All of this work will make a contribution to knowledge. All of this work will make a contribution to the economy. All of this work will change the world. And we managed to look after children while we did it. Just sayin.
