Was in Santa Clara yesterday to take a look at my daughters new store on the El Camino & Scott. Havent been on the El Camino since the early 80s. Headed home from downtown SJ today. Just for laughs I took Market to Monterey rd. Neither looked like I remembered. The area around Hester wasnt the same. The only things I recognized was Hester school,the Towne theater,and what was Andys pet shop. Today south of 280 the only things I recognized was the Cowboy used car lot, the bike shop,the 5-Spot, the Burger Bar. That was it!!! Old Santa Clara-San Jose is all but gone!!! Im going to make it a point to visit some more. PS Note to self AM-PM Sushi is not a good idea for dinner even if my mrs IS out of town!!!
