Was reading an article.......Spiritually as I continue to build a relationship with my higher power, I build a relationship with me and can define what I enjoy and want, I no longer have to bend to be something to match someones needs. Theoretically and thru practice, I can then give without expectation because I become secure in my person. The gentleman, friend or family then is not my higher power but a person in my life that I can share my time, my gifts. Yes, its hard because its colored by what I think I need. This instinct is imprinted me by thousands of years of tradition. Even as I say it I need my higher power to help me make it so through practice. I never really wanted it this way till now. Im reaching for the freedom and enjoy the ride with the guidance of many loving friends.
