Was shopping at CostCo, and it made me read up on the company. Some highlights...currently CostCo is #3 top retailer world wide, Their avg product markup is 14%. That is not that much. Most retailer avg marks up to $25%. (And just for kicks, malls and dept stores marks up prices to 50% and more. ) Granted, theres that $55 annual membership fee. Their average employee hourly wage is $20.89, as opposed to Walmart at $12.75. The CEO makes 4.6 mil in salary and stocks year, 48 times median employee salary.
